BBA Student Groups

We support K-12 student affiliate groups which we call Benjamin Banneker Association Student Groups. Dues for student affiliate groups are $50 annually, and includes a 1-year membership for the student advisor.

The purpose of the BBA Student Affiliate Groups is to:
  1. Encourage students to learn more about Benjamin Banneker and the contributions of other amazing Black mathematicians;
  2. Help students feel the joy of doing mathematics and gain confidence in their ability to learn mathematics; 
  3. Provide a platform for students to discuss and develop solutions for issues related to their world; and
  4. Teach students how to become advocates for their own education, their school, and their communities.
